Dr. Jacqueline Elliot, co-founder of PUC Schools convinced her alma mater to allow the students to use 4 classrooms in the Education Building. Without their support, the school would not have been able to open. The impact on the students was so positive, that now every year incoming 6th grade students in the Valley PUC schools spend several days on the CSUN campus during the summer to immerse them in the university environment and inspire them with the goal of graduating from university. Every year, a larger percentage of PUC high school graduates enter CSUN than any other university. In addition, CSUN provides interns to PUC for their clinical counseling program.
