With PowerSchool’s Parent Access you can read announcements, catch up on your child’s class assignments, checkout grades, attendance and teacher comments. PowerSchool is now portable!

 

The PowerSchool for Parents app is available for download on Google Play for Android devices as well as from the App Store for the iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch®*. You can easily view your child’s progress with access to grades, assignments, and more!

PowerSchool Mobile for Parents provides instructions for downloading and navigating the app.

POWERSCHOOL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A. PowerSchool is the student information system used by PUC schools to manage both demographic and academic information – such as attendance, grades and class assignments – for students.

A. By logging onto PowerSchool, you may access a variety of information pertaining to your student(s).  The information available to you includes:

  • grades and pending assignments for current classes (*)
  • attendance for the past two weeks or the whole term
  • teachers comments (*)
  • email access to teachers
  • various reports via email
  • the school bulletin (*)

(*) Note that if you do not see some of the above information when you log onto PowerSchool, it is because the information has not yet been entered by teachers and/or the school.

A. You can access the PowerSchool Parent Portal using any computer with internet access.  In addition, by using a downloaded app you can access PowerSchool from your iPad, iPhone or Android device.

A. Aside from the resources found on this page, you can contact the main office of your child’s school with questions.

A. Your child’s school should have provided you with a Guardian Web Account letter that contains your secure Access ID and Password.  If you have more than one child at a PUC school, you will need a letter for each child as the Access ID and Password are specific for each student.  Please reach out to your child’s school if you have not received this letter.

A. As long as you protect your username and password, others will not be able to see your account information.

A. Review the Parent Notifications document for instructions on how to set this up.

A. If you no longer wish to receive automated notifications, or if you would like to edit your settings, such as your e-mail address, follow these steps.  Log in to your parent account and click on Email Notification from the left navigation menu.  From this page you can edit the notifications that are sent, the frequency of the notifications or your e-mail address.  To cancel notifications, then deselect all boxes and select Never for How Often you would like to receive notices.

A. Review the Adding Students to an Existing Account document for instruction on adding another PUC student to your account.

  1. On the PowerSchool login page click on “Forgot Username or Password?” and then click on either the “Forgot Password?” or “Forgot Username?” tab and fill in the required information. The system will authenticate your information and then send secure login information to your e-mail address. Use this information to reset either your username or password.  (Note: You must reset your information promptly or else you will need to repeat the process).

A. Milagro Charter School is the only PUC school that does not post grades to PS.  Teachers at all other PUC schools use PowerSchool to post grades.  Keep in mind that teachers assign and post grades to PowerSchool at different times. Some may give grades to their students’ every day and some may give far fewer grades during the term. This is up to each teacher/school and depends upon their grading system. If you see grades in PowerSchool for some teachers but not others, this is a normal function of the way teachers assign and post grades. As always you may contact teachers by e-mail or request a phone call or meeting at any time to discuss your child’s grades.

A. Yes.  All PUC schools use PowerSchool to take attendance.  If you have a question about your child’s attendance, please contact the school’s main office.

A.  To download the mobile version of PowerSchool enter “PowerSchool Mobile” from either iTunes or Google Play on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.

A. The District Code for PUC Schools is ZLNP.

A. Yes. You need to sign up for a Parent Portal Account through the web, and create your secure username and password, before you can start using the mobile PowerSchool app.
